Presentation
5 12 2009We recently were very blessed to give a presentation about Spain to my parent’s bible study. Gus spoke for about 15 minutes and then we both answered questions. It was such a great time of fellowship, meeting some neat believers, and we always enjoy telling people about Spain! Here are some pictures from the evening…

He’s arrived
16 11 2009I just got off chatting with Gus. Since we both have Mac computers, we can talk face to face, which is so nice. Cael kept telling him to come home and was touching the screen-so cute! Gus made it to Zurich and is a part of the meetings there with about 20 other men. He said he’s met a lot of really great people and taken lots of cool pictures. The weather is nice-not too cool. And he’s having a great time! It was so great to see him! Thanks for your prayers and please continue to pray for a fruitful trip and safety while he travels. He leaves for León on Wednesday.

Here we go!
5 11 2009

Yesterday morning we woke up to a letter from our apartment building, informing us that they’ve sold the building and we have until December 2nd to move out. Wow! My first reaction was surprise and then excitement, to see what the Lord has in store for us. We are not sure where we are going to go, since we are working from a limited income with Gus’ part-time salary. But we know that God will provide. He has promised to do so and we are fully trusting in Him. It is at times like these that our faith is stretched and we hope and pray that we are faithful to remain fully confident and trusting in His sovereign plan for our lives.
Please pray for us! That we would find a place. And for me, as I pack up our apartment. Thankfully it’s pretty cozy so we have not been able to store up too much stuff. But there’s still a lot to do and I’m trying to pace myself, being 6 months pregnant! If you live locally and would like to come and help me pack a box or two, that would be lovely! And we’ll see what the Lord has planned for us!!

Preggo update
27 10 2009As we mentioned in the video diary in the post below, we had a surprise at yesterday’s Dr visit. We were told by a previous ultrasound and another technician that we were having a girl. But yesterday my Dr checked and for sure we are having a boy! To be honest, I was more surprised when I was told we were having a girl because it just “felt” like a boy. Many people have asked me if I’m disappointed, and honestly, I’m totally not! I was kind of sad not to have a brother and best friend for Cael, so it’s very exciting now to have that for him. Yesterday’s Dr appointment went very well, and I’m 22 weeks as of yesterday. Well into the 2nd half of my pregnancy with my 3rd trimester just 6 weeks away. Crazy how fast it is flying by! Thankfully I’m feeling much better and not too too big yet. I’ve included a picture of my 22 week belly, which is just a tad bit bigger than my 18 week belly. It’s exciting to see the Lord growing and developing this baby inside me-the Dr said the baby is right on track and looks really healthy!

On another family related note, I have a family blog, which, after a few months’ break, have decided to begin posting family pictures and updates at. Please feel free to check it out here. And of course we will continue to post ministry updates here. Thank you to everyone for reading and for praying!

Update
29 09 2009So here’s a little bit of what’s new with us and our family…
As I mentioned in the previous post, we are setup on Grace’s website and can officially begin the support raising process. It’s exciting yet overwhelming and overall a great reminder that we must live by faith and trust God’s sovereignty. We did our first presentation at Grace, at a women’s ministry meeting. It was a big step for us to put the first presentation together, figure out what we were going to say, and all those details. It went really well though and was a very encouraging time-the ladies are very missions minded. Please pray for us as we pursue more opportunities to tell people about Spain and see what God has in store for us!
On a personal level, my pregnancy is going quite well. I’m 18 weeks along and almost half-way there; I can’t believe it! Thankfully I”m over all of the icky pregnancy sickness part and even beginning to feel the baby move, which is very exciting-there’s a person inside of there! Today I had an ultrasound and everything looked good. The baby was not in the correct position to determine the sex so we are hoping to find out at my next appointment. But we’re just thankful that everything looked well!
Here is a picture from today’s ultrasound
And here is a picture of my 18 week pregger belly!
